Why was this particular theme chosen for BCCFA The Game and the Baron Ring Design? Cause, Chase Claypool, Wide Receiver of the Pittsburgh Steelers, started his grassroots football journey playing for BC Community Football. He played 7 years with BCCFA. During this time, his older sister took her life. Chase's football family rallied around him and supported him as he dealt with her passing. Chase continued to play football and was a phenomenal grassroots player with drive and vision to accomplish so much more. The Game is an event to honor his football journey to Notre Dame Fighting Irish and to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Game will also give youth players an opportunity to share in his journey as the event will be surrounded with his grassroots Coach, mentors, motivators, supporters’ teammates, and family. It is also our way to celebrate his achievements. Our hometown boy who stayed focused and resilient. Chase and his mother are now working to provide more awareness to mental health and suicide awareness both in football and everyday life. Chasing Hope is their opportunity to help prevent other families from having to endure the emotions they have experienced and possibly save a life. Chase was born and raised in Canada and was branded with the #Mapletron logo. This beautiful ring is a symbol of all he has endured, all he has bounced back from and all he will continue to do....inspire others that life can be amazing. Remind all that you do have supporters and that someone loves you. We have partnered with Baron Championship Rings to design this "one of a kind" ring because they too believe that "No one is left behind". Baron Championship Rings have generously donated rings to many athletes to ensure that all are included in having a keepsake to remember some of their most positive and life changing sporting events. A very emotional piece for many of us who discussed the vision to create it. It symbolizes hope, strength, love and so much more. Tickets will go on sale online very shortly.
